Travel To San Diego

When you travel to San Diego looking for something to do, head over to Ocean Beach. Located in the Ocean Beach community, it’s just south of the Mission Bay channel entrance. The place is very popular in the summer and during the winter time many people love to just walk the beach and take in the scenery.

The structure is about a mile long, so there’s plenty of things to find while you walk around. On the north end of the beach, there are volleyball courts teeming with people who enjoy playing, while others sit in the sand watching them.

At the other end, you will find Ocean Beach Municipal Pier. It’s of course open to the public for you to just walk around as well as fishing. There are tackle shops on the pier and restaurants. If you do want to fish, go ahead, you don’t need a fishing license, but be warned, regulations are enforced on what you catch. Along with restaurants, there are surf shops as well as other commercial establishments.

A unique thing about Ocean Beach is the Dog Beach at the north end. In this sandy beach area, the animals can run freely without a leash, no matter what time of the day it is. The owners are responsible for their dogs actions as well as cleaning up after them. It’s a great place for anyone who owns a dog.

Want to go swimming? Go ahead, there are lifeguards on duty everyday from 9am to dark. they are very helpful and are there for your protection. Be aware that the beaches have powerful rip currents. So to be on the safe side, always swim near a lifeguard.

In certain designated areas you are also allowed to go surfing at Ocean Beach. Think twice about doing any scuba diving, the currents are so strong and there is a lack of undersea life. As for the swimming, Ocean Beach is the place to go when you travel to San Diego, so put Ocean Beach on your list of places to go when you get there.

San Diego has some of the most amazing gardens of flowers and roses. The climate is mainly dry, making it the perfect conditions for roses, wild daisies and other exotic flowers. There are different flowers in the winter than in the summer months. If you’re one of the many that love the beauty of flowers, then San Diego is the place for you

One of the biggest attraction that San Diego has to offer are the beaches. Make sure you read the signs though, as the beauty behind the beaches vary almost as much as the rules do.

San Diego has an hundred acre zoo with over 400 animals with plenty of room to room around. Take the time to see the pandas, the San Diego Zoo should be reason enough to visit.
